ATTENTION: All 7th and 8th Graders!!
At this time, we are allowing 7th and 8th graders to try out for JV ONLY. Orchard Park High School requires that you pass the New York State Selective Classification Testing in order to be eligible to try out for a JV team. You must pass the physical test at the middle school on October 22, 2014. Here are the steps to participate:
1. Turn in the Selective Classification Permission slip to the Athletic Department by OCTOBER 17. You can download the form here: http://www.opschools.org/files/9036/selection%20classification%20parent%20permission%20form.pdf
2. Attend the Middle School winter physical session on Tuesday, OCTOBER 21 from 2:30-3:30 in the middle school nurse's office
3. Complete Selective Classification testing on Thursday, OCTOBER 23 at 2:45pm in the Middle School Aux Gym. If you did not turn in a permission slip and valid physical you may not participate. You must meed the criteria for Girls JV Gymnastics (see below).
**If you do not pass any part of the test on 10/23, you may re-test on Thursday, OCTOBER 30 at 2:45.
4. The list of qualified athletes will be sent to the coaches one week before tryouts.
After you have successfully completed the testing, plan to attend Winter Season tryouts on November 11 at 5:30pm at Eggert Road Elementary. Details to follow!!
